President- Jenae Maley
Jenae Maley serves as the NAfME President for the UCM Chapter. From Wichita, KS, Jenae is currently in her Junior year at UCM. She is pursuing a degree in Vocal Music Education with an individualized minor in Early Childhood and Elementary Music Education. When she graduates, she plans to teach Elementary music.
Vice President- Zach Dennis
Zach Dennis is a senior from Herculaneum, Missouri and is currently the UCM chapter Vice President. He is majoring in Music Education with an emphasis in instrumental music. When he graduates he would like to go to graduate school and find a job at a university teaching a trombone studio. Zach’s primary instrument is the trombone and he has been playing it since the 6th grade.
Secretary- Solara Martin
Solara Martin serves as NAfME’s Secretary. She is a sophomore from Lebanon, Missouri currently studying Clarinet Performance with a minor in Business Administration. She wants to continue school to pursue her doctoral degree in Clarinet Performance and be a professor of clarinet at the collegiate level.
Treasurer- Alex Braud
Alex Braud is a senior Percussion Performance major hailing from Kansas City, MO. He is the Treasurer for the UCM chapter. After graduation, Alex plans to attend graduate school to prepare for professional orchestra auditions. Eventually, he would like to earn a doctoral degree in music and teach percussion at the collegiate level.
Head of Fundraising- Abby Kaiser
Abby is currently serving as the Head of Fundraising for the UCM Chapter of NAfME. She is from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and this is her fifth year here at UCM. Abby is studying vocal and instrumental music education. Her emphasis is in vocal education and her primary instrument is clarinet. Her hope and dream is to teach music classes at an elementary level.
Historian- Maddie Barone
Maddie Barone serves as the NAfME Historian for the 2017-2018 year. She is from Trenton, Missouri and is in her sophomore year at UCM. She is pursuing a degree in instrumental music education and her primary instrument is flute. After graduation she plans to teach at the junior high level.
Member at Large- Holly Noneman
Member at Large, Holly Noneman, is from Keokuk, Iowa. She is a sophomore this 2017-2018 school year. Holly is a student in the horn studio at UCM pursing a career in music education and plans to teach instrumental music courses after graduation.
